Can you explain what you mean with the differences regarding the bookmarks?

User 1 is admin... ,me, I have the "old version" of the bookmark i.e. when I BM a page the short drop down menu with the word done...When I select done the BM page automatically goes into the unsorted BM list where I can move it to any folder of my choice. This is the way it has always worked with FF.

User 2 is a standard user and when BM is selected this long drop down menu appears with many options and the word done...But when it is selected the BM vanishes and is lost and the page is not BMed anywhere...I have tried to uninstall the user 2 version but that, obviously, uninstalls user 1 also and I have to re import the BM's...Also I can't import the BM's to user 2...

I thought that as the Admin of the system that any and all changes made by me to the system would be equal system wide...i.e. affecting both user 1 and user 2 but this is not the case...

Any ideas to resolve this would be greatly appreciated...

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
