</p><p>Microsoft wants to scan your entire PC with their WGA crap and look for counterfeit versions of their software before allowing you to install any more of their software. Don't <em>even</em> think that they are looking out for your interests by doing that, they are protecting their "bottom line". The real problem comes about when their "scan" produces incorrect results, which it does like 15% of the time, and they condemn legal software with the proper "Product Key".
