my new 256KB RAM android will run firefox mobile?
Just asking. .
Chosen solution
What phone or tablet is it? judging from you useragent in More system details it is a Huawei u8180 ?
It has a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor (ARMv6) and 256MB RAM.
Nope sorry it is not compatible based on these specs which is on the low end for a smartphone that was announced May 2011.
The three biggest things needed in order to be able to run mobile Firefox on Android is.
Android 2.0+ if not 2.1+
ideally 512MB+ Ram
The biggest thing is it has to use a ARMv7 type of cpu (at hopefully 1GHz+) and not a older ARMv6 or some other type of cpu some Chinese phones/tablets use for example.
A list of the more common compatible and not compatible phones and even some tablets are listed here. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android

Thanks for your reply.. I did read that before.. still m y question is about if it will run on near future with this equipment.. I'm willing to have it on my mobile.. which as not 256KB but 256MB
How did you know.. it's exactly that equipment
The More systems detail link on right of your first post shows your user agent which is Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.2; pt-pt; U8180 Build/HuaweiU8180) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1
Mozilla has no plans to make mobile Firefox for ARMv6 type of cpus anytime soon. There used to be some experimental builds for ARMv6 up till first quarter this year if I recall but they were larger, slower and had many stability problems that do not exist on ARMv7 devices. The ARMv6 also does not support the Thumb-2 instruction set as it is a feature of ARMv7 processors which makes the code both smaller and faster.
Maybe when the code gets better and faster and such they may look into it.

@James last were a question for you, I'm testing the Huawei 8180.. didn't mention before
It is not compatible as I said.
Thanks @James that is a very helpful answer.. Unfortunately I didn't knew that.. still I Hope Firefox open to undergone platforms
Probably that's why my old windows xp with 512MB gets slow with firefox. ...
This is very good mobile.. with afordable price. .
