I tried to copy the original url from the first window so could go straight there when I was clear to do so, but it's not copy-able unfortunately.

Firefox 8 was publicly released on the morning of 11-08-2011. Updates to Firefox 8 have been temporarily suspended due to an investigation of high crash volumes being reported with Firefox 8. The crashes appear to be Add-on related, but until a determination is made, there will be no further updates to Firefox 8.

Thank you. "solved it!" (can't find a button to click that says that). So now I know I can't update for a while, and I can wait.

For future though -- is there a particular URL I can follow to update, without going through pages of stuff looking for it (call me a dummy), because those pop-ups seem to always hit me when I'm in the middle of all sorts of stuff and I can't update right then, and as I said, you can't "block/copy" the link.

Thanks for your help! Great weekend everyone! Nupela.

Much appreciate your prompt reply. I've saved that information now, so it shouldn't be a problem in future. :-) Have a great week! Nupela
