Websites on Firefox: For some reason the top line of every website (including Log-in) is inactive, does not work!

An example: On the current page, clicking (single or double click) on items in the page heading produce no result. This has been noted on my e-mail accounts with Yahoo.co.uk, Postmaster.co.uk and gmail.com, Barclays bank and other business and commercial sites. The main problem is caused by the inability to sign/log in.
