Firefox opens with sound effects which are unwanted

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Try to clear the cache:
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
You can also try to delete the files sessionstore.js and possible sessionstore-##.js with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
