When ever I click on it all it does is show the loading sign for a second and then nothing. I have tried starting it through start menu and still nothing.

I had the same problem as well and finally worked it out. Maybe it could be related. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/886436

Page I use to backup my profile and restore things I needed before and after a clean install. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles

Clean uninstall/install info. Make sure to back-up your profile first as to get mine to work I had to remove my user data. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Uninstalling%20Firefox?s=clean+install&r=1&as=s

Fresh download http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/

FF should open now hopefully.

From there, if your issue is the same, one by one go through add-ons you want installed, making sure to restart after each one to find the one causing issues. If FF doesn't open again, go through the steps for clean install again and don't reinstall that add-on. Once found the culprit(s) and got FF going again without reinstalling those, go about restoring your profile data to get bookmarks and so back. Best to do that last so only have to copy files over once.

That is all I know on this. Really wish I could get an answer to why it is happening as the add-on causing me issues I use constantly, prefer it over others, yet now I can't because want FF to work. Hope this helped.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
