locking as a duplicate - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/885869

For security reasons I have a master password enabled, otherwise everyone can look up my passwords in the security settings. Now I wanted to use this Firefox-Sync feature, but those two can't get along, at startup there is a popup, and after 10 minutes or so there is a popup again for the master password. This makes this features very annoying! I disabled the sync for now because I will never disable the master password, that would be crazy!

So dear Firefox developers... Please fix this with a more user friendly approach, for example a bit more settings for this would be nice, in about:config I couldn't find anything useful. It would be nice to have options to set a delay for the master password for the Sync, and to set the interval for the in between syncs where apparently the master password is needed. Or to exclude the sync password from the master password protected credentials.

Without a fix I will never use this sync option, and I can't imagine that other people find it reasonable to disable the master password for these sync features.
