I use Firefox as my browser to access AOL. When I type in my username I get every variation of my user name that I have ever typed in. How do I get Firefox to NOT remember these user names. They are still there even after I quit Firefox and restart it.

  • Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
  • Highlight an entry in the drop down list
  • Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

Firefox will remember new form data when entered.


  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: "Remember search and form history"
  • Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
