How do I remove a bookmark I no longer want, I've only been able to delete them all and start over?.

I just downloaded Firefox. I have Windows XP home 2002, and Internet Explorer 8. In learning to use bookmarks I ended up with bookmarks I really didn't want. Couldn't find a way to remove just the ones I didn't want so have removed them all twice and just started over. I tried using the remove or delete button, but it didn't work.

All I do is open up the bookmarks, slide to the bookmark, right click, delete. Don't left click to hightlight the bookmark first... Good Luck
