Before the updates, when I clicked on a field to fill, I could down arrow and the previous entry would display. Then I could select it and hit <enter> and proceed. Now <PageUp> <PageDown> <Home> <End> and none of the arrow keys work. I have done a cold boot, and still have the problem.

You may have switched on caret browsing.

You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

See:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > "Remember search and form history"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
