How do I find out?

How do I find out?

Chosen solution

sifter, look at the top of the Firefox browser itself and not this site.

You see the bar where it says File Edit View History Bookmarks Tools Help

Click on the Help and a menu should open so then click on Troubleshooting Information

Another way to get to the same page is to type about:support in the same place you would type in say www.mozilla.com on top part of Firefox.

Check under Help > Troubleshooting information.

Is there a particular reason you ask this question?

There is a new version out--Firefox 7. It may have already been installed on my computer, but I would like to check before accidentally reinstalling it.

Do you know how I can find out which version of Firefox is running on my computer?

Check under Help > Troubleshooting information.

There's nothing there (Help > Troubleshooting) about finding out which version a Firefox user has.

You should see something like this:

No, sorry, I saw nothing like that.

How about Help -> About Firefox? it shows your curent version as well as a button to check for updates. Click on that button and it will confirm if you need updates.

At the bottom of the page, I found "About Firefox," but it had only headings (Communications, Careers, Brand Toolkit, Partnerships, Legal, Contact Us, Store, and Blog) and some text.

There was nothing to tell me which version I have.

I meant in Firefox's menus, not on this web site. Depending on your menu setup, try:

orange Firefox button > Help (hover over it) > Troubleshooting Information

or

Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
