My history function, that keeps track of which websites I've visited by date doesn't seem to work anymore, how do I restore?

I used to be able to click on history and it would show what websites I've been on and the date visited. That doesn't work all of a sudden and wonder, how do I restore that function?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode and that you still remember history.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
