my firefox is black but shows a few ads and the menu bar is empty

I added a monitor and am running two monitors. Since I installed the monitor my firefox (which I don't think I can live without) is totally black with the exception of a random ad and the menu bars are present but blank. Can you help me? Thanks Jerry Rockwell
