I was wondering why I can find all kinds of browsers on Android Market, but Firefox is nowhere to be found?

I've searched for nearly an hour trying to find Mozilla Firefox in the Android Market without any success. I searched under 'apps' for the terms: "Mozilla", "Firefox", "Fire Fox", "browser", "Mozilla Firefox", and yet nothing!!! I then tried a general search across all fields, and I also clicked on all of the "related items" options....nothing! Did you pull it off the market for some reason? Did Android pull it?? Or is there something else at work here??? I found Opera (and mini), Dolphin HD (and mini), Skyfire, Chrome, Miren, UC, Galapagos, Boat, xScope, Maxthon and a few others. What is going on here??

Chosen solution

You won't find it because your phone/tablet may not be supported [1]. What phone or tablet are you using?

I had not thought of that possibility; that might explain it. I thought I had Firefox on my mobile a few months ago, but perhaps my memory fails me.

I am using a LG Optimus C 2.2.2. Being a Cricket phone, I would deduce that your initial guess of compatibility is correct. This phone has been a headache-inducing surreal nightmare.

I thank you for your time and appreciate your effort. I have been using Firefox on my PC for a few years with practically no problems whatsoever. A few months with this phone, and BLAM!!! Anyway, have a wonderful day.

Thanks again!

The LG Optimus C LW690 that Cricket uses has a Qualcomm MSM7627 which is a ARMv6 cpu when the mobile Firefox builds are for ARMv7.
