Netflix is causing firefox to crash

Starting about a week ago 9-12-2011 When I log-in into Nexflix, Firefox hangs and I cannot open any other tab. I must close Firefox and start over once this occurs. I can open it in Internet explorer with no problem so it is not a matter of drivers not being up to date. I am running Firefox ver. 6.0.2
