Trying to sync 2nd computer, but "Add a device" seems to take me to directions, not to the screens where I enter data. Help?

My main computer is a MacBook, using OS X, and I've had Sync for some time. My office system is a PC, which also worked fine with Sync. IT installed a new PC and I'd like to have it Sync with my data, but when I click on "Add a device" I'm taken to a screen with directions (which in fact don't completely match the screens I pull up going through preferences), but not to anywhere that I actually can add data to link with the Sync files. I'm going in circles trying to do this -- very frustrating. It also appears that I need a password (I have the sync code), but I don't know what it is -- and I've been unable to recover it. Help!
