does anyone know how 2 uninstall an add-on called "oneliner"?
i installed a re-startless add-on recommended by lifehacker. it does not show up in extensions, plug-ins, appearance, or anywhere. i dislike it intensely, & want 2 get rid of it, but can't. help anyone, please? thanx very
Chosen solution
if above solutions don't work, try to Re-install the add-on from the link provided by SafeBrowser:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/prospector-oneLiner/?src=external-labs3
After installing it, check if its appearing in the Add-ons window.
- If Yes, then Remove/Uninstall it
- If No, then Create a New Firefox Profile - Managing Profiles
Check and tell if its working.

Add-ons > Extension > Mozilla Labs: Prospector - OneLiner 1, click Remove. No restart necessary on removal of this one. You may need to re-arrange your Navigation Toolbar afterwards; see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_customization
Here is an explanation of what it does: https://mozillalabs.com/prospector/2011/07/28/oneliner-moves-navigation-to-the-tabs-toolbar/

i cannot find Prospector-OneLiner listed there, nor anywhere. when i enter it in search i get no results.
Did you look for "Mozilla Labs: Prospector - OneLiner 1"?
Do you remember is this is the add-on? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/prospector-oneLiner/?src=external-labs3

yes i did.
& yes that is the add-on.
The extension makes a very noticeable change in the user interface. The URL bar is on the same line as the tabs with the tabs pushed to the right. If you are not seeing that, you do not have it installed.
If you have it installed and enabled, it will be listed in Add-ons > Extensions under the "M"s, alphabetically.
If you have it installed and disabled, it will be in the group near the bottom that are grayed-out, again under the "M"s, alphabetically.
If you do not see it, you either never installed it or have already uninstalled it.

i know that i installed it, but it has never appeared in any folder. furthermore it is totally corrupted. i have no url bar, no search bar, no backward or forward arrows; i can't navigate. i just have this silver bar that lists my tabs as i access them from only2clicks (my home page) i have looked all over the system & can't find any mention of this extension
Did you Open Firefox in Safe Mode and tried Removing the extension from there ??
i can't find the extension.
On my test system, I installed that add-on and in showed in extensions as "Mozilla Labs: Prospector - OneLiner 1" and I was above to Remove/Uninstall it as specified above.
Either you never installed it or you have already removed it.

i guess i must be hallucinating, because this just isn't what's happening here. if i uninstalled it my browser would be back 2 normal. it's not even close.
0k, so next time - just back up the Firefox Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data folder before the experiment?..;) :)
