when i open firefox for one day and not using that for one day, and next day when i click on any option in firefox like "add new tab" it is taking so much of time to open new tab Why? I am using firefox 5.0

I open a firefox and opened some websites in tabs. and not used used firefox for one day just by keeping firefox opened. The next day when i start using firefox say if i click on Add Tab button, firefox is taking too much time to open new tab and it will become quite slow in opening page and all. I am using firefox 5.0.
