How do I email a link to a page? The email opens & the page address inserts into the send block insead of the body of the email (?)

I just began using Firefox. When looking at an article, then trying to insert that link into the body of the email to send, I go to the Firefox drop down (send link) but the address of the page inserts into the address block of the "send to" instead ot the body of the email. I must have a wrong setting. What must I change? Using Windows Vista & AOL as my home page.

The problem is that there is no extension which does that which I am aware of. There is no way to add code which is specific to each webmail service that separates the email address from the link that is being sent, except for Gmail & Yahoo!mail, the two included webmail services. IMHO, a half finished feature which was added to Firefox all the way back in Firefox 3.0 and hasn't been modified or enhanced since then - 4 major version releases later.

Unless some one else comes up with a "fix" that I am not aware of, you'll need to cut'n'paste the link into the body.

Thank you for the help! I guess I'll have to use the cut & paste method. When I was using AOL they had a sub or little toolbar for the page that you were viewing. It made for very easy hyperlinking an article to send on. As soon as you clicked on the email icon it opened your email & inserted the link. Very easy.
