When I typed in the address bar a word that does not have a TLD like "prolight" (without quotes) it redirects to a website, I expect to get an error as it is not a valid URL why is this?

I tried other browser like IE it gives an error while Opera shows a site as well but with different URL as Firefox

By default, earlier versions of Firefox would use Google to guess the best match for your entry. You can change that. Unfortunately, the method is slightly obscure, so check out this article for more information.
