Which sites are giving you problems?

In some cases, you may get a message about your Flash player if you have blocked JavaScript (either in general, or for that site).

I cant see videos on utube, fb, anything, When I check the pug ins they only give me the option to disable them, so I assume they are ok, but not sure. I keep downloading Flash but nothing happens. Thanks for your help.

Does the Flash player work on Adobe's about page? To the right of the text, you should get a box that says "You have version 10,3,181,34 installed"

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

---

Make sure JavaScript is enabled here:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Content

---

Do you use any "blocker" add-ons such as Flash, script, or ad blockers? Make sure those are not interfering.

---

If you have external security software that blocks content by domain (e.g., BlueCoat K9), you may need to allow some additional domains.

About Flash says I have 10,3,181,26. In the content Java has a check mark by enable Java script. I have a pop up blocker with exceptions with a check mark beside it also. Have no idea about external security software. I have AVG or something like that. I use to be able to9 see videos until a couple of days ago. Posted a lot of stuff July 4th week. Thanks man.

I think that means your Flash player is installed and working. But why not on popular sites? Hmmm... to see whether an add-on is at fault, you could try Firefox's Safe Mode.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, close Firefox, hold the Shift key, and restart Firefox in Safe Mode. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.

Does YouTube work in Safe Mode? If so, a conflicting add-on is the most likely culprit.

Hey man I found safe mode went thru the process and nothing worked in it either. I went to u tube and fb to look at videos. One vid worked from a friend on the golf course that I guess was a phone but not sure. I'm not sure is I reset or not I didnt check and thing in the boxes. I just went to safe mode start with add ons disabled.

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.

Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache

or

Tools->Options->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]

Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie and refresh page if above does not do it.
