How do I download an image from a web page for personal use?

I gather that downloading images from web pages is commonplace, but I can't figure out how to do it. Also, even on sites where a PDF of other file is set of to be downloaded, when I click the button I get only an empty window.

Can you save images via Tools > Page Info > Media ?

The usual way to save an image is via the right-click context menu > Save Image as.
