have 2 versions of Firefox, trying to uninstall one. Won't uninstall from delete programs

I have a beta version & 5.0 installed. I want to uninstall the beta version, went to remove programs, nothing happens. Went to program files...helper etc, won't open. I've cleared history, cache, everything. Tried removing in CCleaner, nothing. Not sure what to try next. Obviously don't need both on the same computer. thanks
