Please let me know what controls are available for the navigation bar / or where can i change the options for the same. I am using Mac OS X 10.6.7

I need to change the parameters so that it directs to the site automatically.

earlier if i used to type mozilla it used to direct me directly to mozilla.com but now it loads a search page - http://search.conduit.com/ResultsExt.aspx?ctid=CT2504091&q=mozilla

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Chosen solution

To revert to Google as your preferred search engine, please do the following.

  • In the location bar, type about:config and hit Enter.

  • In the filter at the top, type: keyword.URL

  • Double click it and remove whatever's in there (probably Conduit) and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=

The URL to add in "keyword.URL" becomes a link in this post, so right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type the whole thing.

To reset your home page, do the following.

  • Go to the site you want to set as your homepage.

  • Click the orange Firefox button and go to Options | Options | General.

  • Make sure it says "Show My Homepage" in the first dropdown menu.

  • Click the button called "Use Current Pages" to set the homepage to the one you have on the screen.

Thanks Xircal!!

One more help.. I have left it to default now. Earlier just typing the the keyword for popular websites used to load them directly bypassing the search.

for example if I type "facebook" only on the navigation bar - it should go to facebook.com automatically. this does not happen.

Any how the conduit is gone! :) Thanks to you! Again - I have just migrated to a Mac.
