I "upgraded" to Firefox 4 today, and I'm now unable to open online pdf documents. They start to load (Acrobat appears, and I start to see a small portion of the document), and then the screen within that tab goes blank. This did not occur in the previous version of Firefox, and it does not occur with Internet Explorer.

Basics:

  • I'm running Windows XP
  • I have Adobe Reader 7.0
  • I do not have Adobe Pro, or any paid version
  • Adobe's "preferences>internet" is set to "display pdf in browser"
  • In Firefox "tools>applications," Adobe document is set to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)"

How do I fix this?
