i just downloaded ff and it won't open i get a message that my profile is missing or unaccessable how do i fix this?

i have been using ie and wanted to try another browser. i downloaded ff from the official website. after install was done i tried to open ff from desktop icon. i got a message stating "could not open because your profile is missing or unaccaessable". i also have norton 360. norton said the download was safe. how do i fix this?
