The search engine in the middle of my start page does not work.

I presume this is the Mozilla search engine. It worked in earlier versions. Other engines, such as Google work fine, but not the main engine. It slows a blinking cursor and I can enter something, but it does not react to clicking SEARCH with with the mouse or to pressing ENTER.
