The search engine, Ask.com, is shown in the upper right hand corner every time I open Firefox even tough I move the Google search engine to the top in the "Manage Search Engines" pull down screen. Why is that?
The search engine, Ask.com, appears in the upper right hand corner of the Navigation toolbar every time I open Firefox. I've tried using the "Manage Search Engines" pull down screen to change Ask.com to Google. I've tried removing Ask.com, and I've tried moving Ask.com down so that Google is the search engine on top so that it is shown when Firefox is opened. For some reason Firefox always reverts back to Ask.com in the upper right hand corner. Why is that happening? What can I do to change Firefox so that Google is always the search engine shown in the Navigation toolbar when opened for the first time?
