Firefox 4: My would go black when the screensaver should have appeared, and I had to go in and out of hibernation for the screen to recover, at which point my taskbar had vanished requiring that I restart the computer - every time; how can I fix this?
My inability to get the monitor to come back from what should have been a screen saver (it was only a black screen) started as soon as I installed Firefox 4. As I said, the only way I found to get the computer to respond was to put it into hibernate mode. Then once the computer had refreshed the Windows taskbar was gone. I was forced to restart the computer due to this problem at least a dozen times before I reinstalled Firefox 3. I have not had this issue since.
