Firefox 4 having trouble with the Google Earth view in Google Maps (maps.google.com)

After using Google Maps' "Google Earth" view for a while, the entire Firefox 4 browser freezes for about 20 seconds, and then the Google Earth view in Google Maps is reset to the defulat (fully zoomed out view of Earth) view. Didn't have this trouble in Firefox 3.xx. A bug?
