Firefox crashed--then won't open. I see the process running and it never opens.

I am running Windows 7 and have the latest upgrade to Firefox. I noticed that Firefox crashed when working on certain websites. For the past two days it won't open, though I see the Firefox process working in Windows Task Manger.

I believe it crashes itself while trying to reopen the sites I was working on when it crashed originally. I need it to open to the basic launch screen (Google). I am working on an HP Pavillion Laptop and Firefox has been working successfully for some time
