will uninstalling 3.6.13 interfere with beta

When you go to un-install any version of Firefox do not use the option to Remove Firefox personal data and customizations. That option will delete all your Firefox personal data, not just for the version you are un-installing.

You're better off keeping 3.6 for awhile yet. You may come across web sites that aren't completely compatible with the 4.0 beta yet, especially HTTPS websites that don't like "beta" browsers.

If and when I'm satisfied - is it a fair assumption that there are 2 setups, & in theory if I needed space or made a firm decision I could remove either one without losing my bookmarks,passwords, etc? Mike

Thanx - that I know -about 5 yrs back I made that error.Fortunately I had screen shots of everything. Good info & fast , again TY.
