Why Bookmarks subfolders DON'T show when clicking on Bookmarks on Menu Bar

When I hit the Bookmark This Page button and go to bookmark menu I cannot find many of the previous bookmarks that I entered. After Windows Live I have 11 bookmarks but only 5 show up when I hit the bookmark menu folder.
