Something else might be up then, because Organize Bookmarks has always worked for me. It is perfectly named for what it does. Only thing I had wanted was a way to do a couple other things in bookmarks without having to open up the organizer to do it.

But lets be honest, what is the purpose of clicking on the "Show all Bookmarks" button? Surely the number one purpose is to organize your bookmarks? So why not just leave the name as "Organize Bookmarks"?

That misunderstanding has generated thousands of support threads both here and in the MozillaZine fora over the last 3+ years since the new bookmarks management system was instituted in Firefox 3.0.
</p><p>Very few users seem to stumble upon the correct method of doing an <strong>alpha-sort</strong> through using the left pane of the Library window and using the contextual menu item - Sort by Name. It just doesn't seem to be that "discoverable" of a feature to most users.
</p><p><strong>That's why I say that in my opinion the old name was misleading.</strong>

When that is the main reason any one clicked on that button? If I wanted to "organize" my bookmarks, I chose "Organize Bookmarks" went in there and organized them and then closed the window. How can "Show All Bookmarks be more correct?
</p><p>If you think "Show all Bookmarks" is more correct, then what is the purpose of showing all the bookmarks, what do you do once you can see them? Scroll through and check out what bookmarks you have? The main reason to go in there is to organize your bookmarks! That's why once you are in there you have the menu buttons like "organize", "Import and Export" "sort" etc.
</p><p>"Show All Bookmarks" is just simply dumb. Why don't they change "Options" to "Show lots of stuff", that would be just as meaningless and unhelpful.

IMO, the name for that menu item was wrong in 3.0, 3.5, &amp; 3.6 - <em><strong>now</strong></em> the title is more correct.

But why did they do a dumb thing like that? Go figure.
