Firefox frequently (2-3 times every 5-10 minutes) gives a 'Not Responding' mssg; requires 3-10 seconds to recover.The three solution s I found were close but not quite the same.

Browser is 3.6.13 Using gateway fx6800-03h (9 Gb RAM; 1Gb ati radeon (hd4870) vid card; Vista 64bit home premium; i7-920 quad core processor. Seems to be a random 'wave' of interrupt intervals. At times Firefox runs 15-20 minutes with no indication of a fault. Network set up has two machines (the other system is a windows 7 desktop) via wireless to a router, to the cable modem.
