is there a way to stop embedded video from automatically playing on certain web pages?

Posted

When I am surfing the web, some pages have embedded videos that automatically start playing. This is fine unless I am at work or late night. I try to keep the volume off, but sometimes forget. It would be a nice feature. I also hate animations that automatically play. Thanks.
