since a tech added Firefox and eliminating Internet Explorer on my laptop I am unable to run my Centurylink Online Security.

my laptop locked up, tech suggested deleting Internet Explorer and using Firefox, no problems, like it, but can't run my Centurylink online security, unable to scan. Window opens, click on Full Scan, will not start up.
