Dropdown Boxes/menu show at the size od 10 pixels by 10 pixels, meaning it is difficult to know what has been typed in the past, how can I get the dropdown box be bigger?

The same happens when going to the Print and WebDeveloper Menus from the Firefox Menu Tab or when trying to select something from a list.

Chosen solution

Create a new profile exclusively for the 4.0 beta version and create a desktop shortcut with -P "profile" appended to the target to launch that profile.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration:

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Disabling Hardware Acceleration did the trick!

Shame, I love the Hardware Acceleration part of Firefox!

You can try to update the video display driver to the latest version.

You can try to re-enable one of these prefs:

  • layers.accelerate-none
  • gfx.direct2d.disabled

Actually, updating the graphics drivers, which I thought I did, actually works too! Now I have hardware acceleration :D
