I always get the alert: script stopped responding. Besides scripts are carried out slower and slower with Firefox.

After switching off the CHAT in my gmail it works better.

I dont know what FF is doing but IE seems to have less problems with script hanging nowadays. Maybe its just that FF is cluttered up.

I deleted the History, Forms and the cache already. But there seem to be many data that cant be cleared like all those rarely visited URLs that are always recommended in the location bar. That stuff keeps accumulating without any handle to get it out of the system.

Here the image. But guess you know that because the problem seems to be common.

Just noticed: Switching from Rich formatting to Plain Text also helps. I think on those latest generations of webpages with all those features there is too much going on for Firefox to work fine. Wikipedia is another page I hate to visit with firefox. IE takes a while nowadays to load the page, but then its at least loaded. FF hangs, Script stops responding, and if you continue script a part of the page is shown and from there it just continues loading...and hanging.

Why are still using that old version?

Firefox 3.5.15 was released last month.

Because I reverted back to the older version. 3.5.15 doesnt work well with foreign character sets and even if I make changes to the about:config then 3.5.15 doesnt even notice the changes.

In my old versions my modifications of about:config have made that e.g. ALL Indian character sets are displayed properly. 3.5.15 doesnt react to those modifications at all. Besides, my current version seems faster than 3.5.15 and 3.5.15 hands just as much as my older version does. Same problem.
