http://search.conduit.com/?ctid=CT2769720&SearchSource=13 why can I not delete this and get back to google

Posted

I thought I was getting a manual for my vacuum. Turned out was a search engine. I have not been able to delete this search.conduit.com. and get back to goggle.

Chosen solution

My sister was infected with search.conduit.com redirect virus today and she could not get rid of it by using various security tools. We are trying the manual removal (teesupport) Unsuitable link removed by a forum moderator please see instead /questions/967667#answer-472509 and it is good to find this one-year-old thread. We believe we can win the battle finally :)

Do you mean searches via the location bar?

Check the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems and Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
