Today, similar to a few days ago, I got a series of crashes i.e. When clicking on a link in a webpage, I got crash #1 listed below. When I reopen Firefox & try to restore the tabs I get crash #2. Then #3. Then #4. I have to restart the computer and start a new session to bring Firefox back to stable state. I'm not a geek so please try to keep any replies simple. I do appreciate the help.

This situation which I'll call a "series of crashes" happens when Firefox is open with usually at least four tabs open.

These "serial crashes" happen also when I'm doing nothing & Firefox is running in the background.

It seems to be happening more often since I updated to 3.6.12, but that could be my perception. In "about Firefox" this info is populated Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.12) Gecko/20101026 Firefox/3.6.12

The Crashes occurred sequentially, and the 2nd, 3rd & 4th happened immediately upon trying to restart Firefox. Here are today's Crash ID's Signatures & crash reasons

1. ID: 715c2129-b292-4373-a299-924002101121 Signature: nsCycleCollector::BeginCollection() Crash Reason: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION / EXC_PPC_UNIPL_INST

2. ID: 57ec649c-aee2-4713-81b6-863432101121 Signature: js_FoldConstants Crash Reason: EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE

3. ID: b1bef754-2ec2-498c-a9a8-2d89d2101121 Signature: CascadeRuleEnumFunc Crash Reason: EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE

4. ID: c6453cd4-d396-4698-b88c-df3732101121 Signature: nsSVGIntegrationUtils::UsingEffectsForFrame(nsIFrame const*) Crash Reason: EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE

It seems to me that I've gotten more of these "serial crashes" since updating to 3.6.12, but I've had this issue before.
