Firefox 3.6.7 is 5 versions behind the current 3.6.12 version. Use Help > Check for Updates to trigger an update.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

You also want the Navigation Toolbar to have a check mark.

You should also update the Adobe Reader plugin to the latest version.
You have "Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 8.2.5" , current is version 9.4.0
