I typed this question I opened a command prompt to see my java ln -s command, and now a large portion of that window is now part of the website background. Right now, part of the browsers top and menus are part of the website background as well as the remnants of a command prompt window as well as remnants of a file browser window. I updated to the latest java and flash. Interesting enough is slackware.com even display parts of the browser menuing and location bar as well as the top. http://www.laconiamcweek.com/Schedule . I did an experiment and found if the background involves an image file this happens.

Well, because 3.6.12 made it nearly impossible to browse websites, I have returned to 3.0.19, even with upgraded java and flash it works fine, no extra background images.
