how do I stop MSIE ad windows from appearing on firefox?

I will be on a site using firefox when all of a sudden a new window housing an advertisement (for the site I am on) appears The ad window is in Internet explorer How can I stop this from happening? Much thanks david nizzasrdi

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.
