when trying to go to certain websites it will come up momentarily then transferring data from surveys.cnet.com will show at bottom of page and nothing will ever open, what do I do

I type a website into the address bar at the top and the website will very quickly show on the screen then the page goes blank and if I look at the progress bar at the bottom instead of showing that it is transferring data from the website I'm trying to open is says "transferring data from surveys.cnet.com" the progress scale on the right will go up about two bars and stop. It will not go any further. So I tried typing that address in to the address bar and I get a blank page but I get a "done" on the progress bar at the bottom of the screen. Can you tell me whats going on?
