All text is very blurry, compared to FF 3 and IE

IE v8 on the left FF Minefield (Latest Nightly) on the right. The text is very blurry, and you can really see it in the quick links for Google, Videos, Maps, etc.

This is probably related to the new hardware acceleration feature which sends rendering to your graphics card. You can turn it off using the setting in Tools > Options, select the Advanced panel then the General tab.
