How can I delete the private browsing option?

I have two children and I do not want their internet time to be hidden from me. I need to know what websites are visited and even if they delete the history I want to be able to search the temporary internet files to see if they are hiding anything,

Sophisticated users can get rid of most of their tracks, so you may need some additional software to "really" know what's going on. More info: Parental controls.

That said, you can edit Firefox's menus in one of two ways:

(1) Menu Editor extension

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/710/

(2) Manually edit the settings file userChrome.css in a user's profile.

You would add a rule hiding the menu item using a rule similar to:

#privateBrowsingItem {display:none !important;}

I can't test that at the moment, sorry. More info: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_Tips_:_Customize_context_menu#Tweaking_userChrome.css
