Some toolbars are installed when installing free programs from the internet. In some cases, during the install process, you must choose "Custom" installation (if it is available) to get to the opt-out selection for the extras. Be vigilant when downloading and installing free programs. Some toolbars must be un-installed using Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs in Windows.
