Firefox with Win7 operates slowly with Google Docs

I've been using Firefox and Windows XP without any trouble with Google Docs. However, using the same version of Firefox with Windows 7 has resulted in significantly slower processing at Google Docs. Firefox and Win7 are having minor problems with other web sites, but the one with Google Docs is frustrating when I have to wait 15-20 seconds, for example, to save a file, but Chrome and Explorer (also on the Win7 system) do not have this slowing down problem.
